T-Cubed CAT 40 Milling Tool Organization System

Our T-Cubed (Tool-Tag-Tree) CAT40 Cutting Tool Organization system saves you time and money. Imagine having all your milling tools catalogued, organized, and tracked, all at a glance.

How does it work?

1. Mount a Tool-Tag-Tree on each machine. Select the number of sections that match your tool magazine capacity. We suggest adding an additional 5 Tag section for flexibility in organizing tool tags.
2. Mount a Tool-Tag-Tree on or near tool the crib. We suggest a 50 Tag Section. More capacity can achieved by adding additional Tool-Tag-Trees.
3. Using our templates (Excel and Word) print a custom label for the cutting tool OEM sleeve/case and a label for the tool tag. Include tool number, critical tool information and URL to mfg website for generating QR codes. Place tool tag on holder and store in tool cart etc.
4. When installing the tool in machine, remove the tool tag and store the tag on the machines Tool-Tag-Tree.
5. When removing tool from machine, replace the tool tag onto the tool holder and store in tool cart etc.
6. If breaking down tool holder, return cutting tool to labeled sleeve/case in tool crib and place the tool tag on tool crib Tool-Tag-Tree.

You now are able to track a tool from the tool crib to the machine and back to the tool crib.

This system works for both unique and revolving tool numbers. For revolving or reusable tool numbers simply replace the old label with a new label.

Tool Tags can be purchased from us and other CAT40 tool tags such as  ACCUPRO CAT40  tool tags from MSC. 

For creating labels using the downloadable  Excel and Word documents tool library we suggest this iDPRT thermal label printer as it is inexpensive and proven to work with the provided documents. For labels, we use these weatherproof thermal labels.

Tips for using Tool Library and Printing Labels

1. To use Tool Library, open the Excel document and enter the tool data. Follow the numbered steps. Do not edit any other cells, Close the Excel File.
2. To print labels, open the Word document and follow prompts. See detailed instructions here.
